Celebrity aircraft are typically benign business jets. Occasionally, you will see a celebrity with a custom extravagant livery like Michael Jordan’s airplane. Often time, you’ll see ego on full show with celebrity aircraft in their tail number registrations. For instance, NASCAR’s most popular driver, Chase Elliott, is #N9CE. N is standard for every North American airplane registration. The 9 stands for his race car number. CE is for his initials.

There has been a lot of press attention to celebrity planes of late. Most of it is due to Jack Sweeney. He has a feud with Elon Musk and Taylor Swift over broadcasting their flights online.
