Riley Green is a country music superstar. He also went to the same high school that I went to. Riley makes Jacksonville proud and he has been giving back for years here. Just recently he even paid for the new basketball court at the high school gym.
When I owned a pool hall he came and played a gig for me at the bar and no one showed up and he still put on a full show with a smile on his face. Its crazy to think how many people could have seen him in such an intimate environment for free but I guess everyone that hits it big has these stories.
Touring as much as he does now isn’t exactly new to Riley. He has always been someone that plays a lot of shows. I think the weekend he played at my pool hall he played like 7 other shows that weekend all over Alabama and I think a show or two in Georgia. However, instead of driving around in his truck with a small trailer on the back he now gets to fly on charter Gulfstream G4s.
After headlining a show at the Strawberry Festival in Florida, Riley and crew boarded #N50LK, a 1994 Gulfstream G4, stationed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The private jet took them to their next show in Salem, Virginia. The average charter price for a flight like this is slightly over $30,000.
