✈️ Show Highlights & Lineup

Sea Demonstrations

  • Begins mid-day (~noon) with thrilling offshore action: supercharge powerboat races (Cigarette boats), high-flying flyboarders, and Jet Ski freestyle exhibitions.

Air Demonstrations

  • Military jets take over the skies from ~12:30 PM onward.
  • Featured aircraft have included a Freedom Flyover formation of B‑1, B‑2, B‑52 bombers, escorted by A‑10 “Warthog,” F‑15 Eagle, F‑16 Fighting Falcon, and F‑22 Raptor.
  • Additional performers: F‑35F‑15, various heritage and legacy flights, and HH‑60 rescue helicopters

Parachute Teams

  • Demonstrations by elite military parachute units, including:
    • U.S. Army Golden Knights
    • Army special ops Black Daggers
    • U.S. Navy Leap Frogs
    • Air Force Pararescue
    • British Army Red Devils

Display Village & Ground Exhibits

  • The FPL Patriot Display Village spans about five blocks along Ocean Drive in Lummus Park.
    • Features interactive zones: Action ZoneKids Zone, simulators, tactical displays, and exhibits by military and first-responder units.
    • There’s live music, a food court (e.g. Mission BBQ), and flight simulators and photo-ops for visitors.
  • Additional programming includes a drug-interdiction demo by U.S. Customs & Border Patrol, Army special ops exercises, military bands, and drill teams.

✅ Planning Tips

  • Arrive early (especially on sand) to secure a good viewing spot.
  • Bring sun protection—hat, shade, sunscreen—as well as water and snacks.
  • Consider ear protection, especially for children, because of loud jet and boat noise.
  • No tickets needed—public viewing is open and free.
  • If driving, parking garages at 13th & Collins or 12th & Drexel are nearby. Alternatively, ride-share services are popular.
  • Note that aerial footage and seaward areas may be subject to U.S. Coast Guard restricted zones—boats should stay clear of the designated perimeter.
